The domenech example was him picking Henry last year when he was clearly unfit, same with Bobby in previous years and Vieira as well. Also a bit of a twat for demanding Makelele to come out retirement or face a ban.

Arsenal looked more like a french club when we had 6 or 7 regular first team players, now we have 3.
They are not meaningless friendlies.
As I posted above, Brazil start the WC Quals in October (October 2007). Therefore, Dunga wants to field Brazil's first team in some friendlies (USA and Mexico) so that he can have it prepared for the tough WC Quals we are going to play from October onwards.
These friendlies are very handy because they are played 1 month before the game against Colombia in Bogotá.

Regardless, picking unfit players does little tohelp preparation, or the players health. Why force him to play a match with nothing at stake, which could cause him to miss the important Brazilian matches, rather than see if a promising young player, Lucas for example, can step up?

Look, if you don't want players to be called to "meaningless" friendlies that are preparation to a probably "meaningless" WC qualification, just start growing your own talent, then I'm sure that the England manager will be far more considerate on your requests, also the travels will be much shorter.
Galaxy fans probably don't think that their club is more important than the English national team and Beckham's will of representing his country. But you seem to think so.

um actually on 5live they speak to an American correspondant and there were protests about Beckham not playing enough for Galaxy.
For your first point, read my last post.

Even if he doesn't play, Dunga will be able to see him training, which is very useful too. So, in any case, there is nothing wrong from our point of view, in calling him up.
I agree Lucas should have been called up too, but Lucas and Gilberto Silva are different kinds of players with different roles in the team.
Obs: Nobody is forcing him to do anything. But of course, if he says he doesn't want to play for us, there will be consequences.
