What is your cut off point for animal murder?
When it comes to killing animals it is largely socially unacceptable to kill for example a horse or cat if it irritatated you but ok to kill a mouse or moth. It seems to be based on size. Where do you draw the line?

Well if they bother me and I am able to stop it, I will. If my only option as pouring boiling water over their nest then so be it.

Well breaking the law usually convinces me not to kill any old animal.
I routinely kill rabbits and the like, but purely for vermin control.

Trying to kill a horse, or even a cat, bare-handed is rather dangerous. Hence, it is socially unacceptable. You can freely kill animals that your bare hands can handle, though.
