there's no mainstream media coverage whatsoever, as well. that isn't the case in the UK, I assume.

american idol would be closer, I think, but none of those remarkably mediocre "talents" have bothered to strip yet. I think. not that american tv is any better, just more diverse and vapid in it's own slightly unique ways.

that OTF thread was probably full of multiple posts by the same person, general public who don't read gossip magazines couldn't care less about the show and would like to see it axed
