I don't think it's made by the GTR folk at all actually - I think it merely licenses an early version of their engine. It's not a bad little free game if you don't have GTR2 but if you do then you'll want to steer clear () because it's not worth the bother - lacks the depth and features and so forth that make it a mere curiosity rather than anything worth spending time on.

I said I think so 'talking bull crap' is a harsh indictment. As far as I was aware the devlopers of GTR/2 were simbin, that's who I know them as anway. Simbin isn't listed in the credits of this BMW title.

Either way the point remains that as a freebie it's nice, but if you have either GTR or GTR2 on your hard-drive there's not much point unless you're a BMW fanboy.

90% of the guys who made them have left Simbin for a new company called Blimey, and hence made this, prehaps why Simbins new game Race is rubbish and incredibly buggy.

Yes in reality its pretty much just a demo, but it might hook in a few new people to sim racing rather than arcade racing :p
