Just wondering because I've got a pretty decent arm and I'm curious to see how it would measure up. So how far can a pro throw and how far should a casual player be able to throw?
It probably fake but there was a video on EweTube of some bloke throwing the ball well into the upper tiers of the far stand from about the half way line, can't find it though. Might have been Vick actually.
I however suck balls at throwing, I tried it once and got about 15 yards at best.

American footballs are much smaller and pointed than rugby balls.
Try throwing a spiralling rugby ball any great distance, I'm guessing that at best you could throw from the try line to the 10 yard line.

Well yes, that and you can clearly see where they edited the footage. I still hold hope that someone can throw that far though, with the aid of some serious roid rage.
