| That's not really the issue here, it is more to do with the frenzy being created over what it is a pretty minor misdemeanour (ok not in the shoplifting category, but certainly not on par with GBH or Murder).

Is there really a frenzy? Don't think I've heard any calls for him to be locked up for a long period of time.

Well the Daily Mail, Currant Bun and NOTW (not surprisingly!!!) have hardly been cordial towards him in the intervening months.

| Can't say I've noticed tbh. If anything this seems to have been a pretty quiet trial, considering it's a celebrity involved.

| I don't buy his explanation, but I'm also not particularly interested in those who might get their rocks off downloading it. Unless you're paying money for it, you're not contributing to the problem and I'd rather see resources put into stopping those who actually do it, and not making an example of a well known celebrity who's only genuine "crime" thus far is questionable sexual tastes.

There's the argument that looking at stuff on the net is the first step down the slippery slope, but I don't know if it's ever been proven that people looking at child porn are more likely to go on to child abuse.

| I don't see why it should be. I don't go out and attack lesbians.
