How many times has Docherty escaped jail despite consistantly re-offending? IMO any "normal non celebrity" would have been locked up by now for what hes done.
He’s a junkie who afaik doesn’t resort to crime to get his fix. Wouldn’t have thought there’d be any interest in locking him up when he's doing more harm to himself than anyone else.
If other people are locked up for constantly using drugs then he should be treated the same, but I doubt that’s the case.
Im sure i remember my mate at the Met telling me their cells were swarmed with junkies. Some may only be locked up for a few days, others more but locked up they were.

Aren't you talking about people who are in the police cells after arrest, rather than jail after conviction? In which case he has been arrested on numerous occasions.
There is a paedo living near me :thdn:, he got caught and arrested by police for indecent pictures and that of children, he was downloading them at work ffs! any way he got off without a jail sentence and the local priest (paedo is religious) came out in favour of the guy and said he was a pillar of the community or something and it all got hushed up.
Probably get nine months or something, and he's already been in custody a few months. Good chance his career is over and his life is wrecked though, huge difference between being a celebrity junky, which just seems to enhance some people's careers, and being a celebrity paedo which should surely end them.
