Don't do the drive. It's a real killer.

I used to commute to Nottingham every day from Buxton. Was leaving home at 6am, to start work at 8 so I could leave at 4 to be home for 6pm. Did that for a year and it nearly killed me.

Will be worse coming up the M4 every day IMO. You'll certainly not be able to do much else during the week, and need Friday night to sleep.

Winchester has tons of students nowadays, so there's bound to be a room in a shared house somewhere that should be fairly cheap.

What spotg said - Winchester would be a good place to go for a shared house.

Last time I looked though, a one bed place in Andover was going for £550pm not including bills. Winchester should be more expensive again, but would be more preferable.
