Default Anyone watching "The Black Donnellys"?

It just started over here on our equivalent to Sky (Canal +), and I must say the first two episodes are brilliant.

Basically, it is a series about four young Irish-American brothers growing up in a bad New York neighbourhoud influenced by organised crime. They have to protect eachother, and they each have various problems on various levels while trying to get by and succeed.

I was sceptical at first, especially with not many well known actors, but the acting and storyline develops nicely and it really is intriguing stuff.

Paul Haggis and Bobby Moresco (writers of "Crash") have created a nice little series here by the looks of it.

Watched the 1st 6 episodes, then it got pulled, think the remaining episodes are floating around somewhere, decent enough show

It was pretty good, but I thought the first bunch of episodes were better than the latter ones. Only 12 episodes total.

It was a stop gap program placed in because Studio 60 wasn't doing so well.

It did worse.

But regurgetated, unoriginal sitcoms do well in the States. Strange country.

Black Donnellys ten times better than Studio 60.
