And having been here a little while, i've already picked up on you being someone who ALWAYS needs the last word on any matter like a 10 year old kid, so go ahead, i'm not discussing the completely farcical point you think you have that American television isn't sexualised (me interpreting "one of the least sexualised in the world" as being pretty much without sex, and sex not being the actual explicit act of sex shown on prime time telvision). Wp on completely missing my original point in what I wrote as well though btw  No wonder so many people despise you in here.
what in god's name are you talking about?
no one that's worth anything here "despises" me. but that's besides the point.
if you actually think the innuendo on Grey's and Housewives (ignoring The L Word because it's on a premium channel, ul) is bad or isn't matched by UK television, then you're dumber than I thought.
I didn't "miss your point," either. I'm so f**king sick of lazy cünts like yourself passing off your idiocy as "humor" and then claiming that "Americans" don't get it. I'm incredibly tired of you promoting your troglodyte sensibilities as some sort of gospel. most of all, I'm done using any of my cognitive abilities to even begin to attempt to process anything that you have or will ever post on here again.
This show would have been good had it not felt like they were children in a world full of mundane, predictable and idiotic adults designed for them to purely get one over on. It was just too silly, and took itself so seriously at the same time. The acting was painful too - with on again, off again love interest. There was potential there but it never realised it.
It was made and aired before the Sopranos jumped ship though - and if you like the Soprano's you'll be watching this with a huge grin on your face. It's like a bunch of kids putting on a play for their parents or something
Irish gangsters apparently really hot after the success of "The Departed"?
If i can go way out on a limb here, I don't think most Americans would see a show about white gangsters as being in any way plausible or cool. We're way too used to seeing African Americans or Hispanics in that kind of scenario, and the mind kind of rebels watching white kids try to be hard.

Right. The Sopranos. Should qualify what I said with 'the mafia is the exception to the rule on white gangsters'. Everybody loves the mafia here.

there was that show about the mexican crime family a couple years ago that was pretty cool and had an amazing soundtrack that also died in the water.
why watch some filtered down abc/cbs bullshit when you can watch the wire/oz/sopranos/some other "gritty" show on the premium channels that's 1000x better?

There is that. But I still doubt this show would've worked with swearing and nudity added on.
