Network execs basing a show's success on ratings after 6 shows? That's shocking really. Seinfeld would never have lasted today.
Jericho got canned, but it looks like it will get a second season after all. Studio 60 was decent enough (much better than a lot of the other crap that keeps going season after season), and The Black Donnellys getting the can seems puzzling.
They should just get a big titted blonde to sit on the crapper all day whilst talking to an agitated ex boyfriend. Cheap to make and will be at the level of the American viewer.

Once again they spectacularly misjudge humour. How American
Also, Andy, care to back up that statement with proof?
there was literally nothing funny about that whatsoever.
and I'd love to - check out FCC regulations. there are strong anti-obscenity guidelines. an exposed breast (covered by a nipple plate, mind you) was bad enough to warrant a six figure fine.
from what I've seen of television in Europe, nudity and softcore porn is on over-the-air channels often. that doesn't happen here.
So sexual innuendo throughout Grey's Anatomy, The L Word, Desperate Housewives and pretty much any other run of the mill show is a lot better, just because you don't actually see anything.
FCC regulations aside, you've done **** all to prove your point. Especially as "sexualised" doesn't necessarily mean hardcore porn, and you've yet to prove America is one of the least sexualised markets in the world. Ever watch HBO btw?
And having been here a little while, i've already picked up on you being someone who ALWAYS needs the last word on any matter like a 10 year old kid, so go ahead, i'm not discussing the completely farcical point you think you have that American television isn't sexualised (me interpreting "one of the least sexualised in the world" as being pretty much without sex, and sex not being the actual explicit act of sex shown on prime time telvision). Wp on completely missing my original point in what I wrote as well though btw  No wonder so many people despise you in here.
