Default Buying a new car

Its a sad day but it is time to look for another car, my beloved golf has packed in after 180,000 miles.

I have cut my search down a little but and I'm looking for another golf, a seat leon or an audi a4. Thought about putting another engine in my golf but doesn't look like it will be worth it.

Anyway, does anyone know of any bargain websites that I could be looking at? I'm keeping my eye on autotrader as well as using parkers website for a bit of advice on price.

Any help much appreciated.

I don't mean buying a brand new car. The title should just read 'Buying a car'.

I think autotrader is the way to go. there's also e-bay, but i don't know anyone who's used that or if it's any good, or safe.

Looking at about £2,000 - £3,000 but if it was the right car I could probably stretch it.

Was going to say I figured you'd be looking for an A3 rather than an A4.

No?

I quite like the A4 because its a bit bigger but there isn't a lot of difference between the two. I am still tempted to get that engine off ebay but looks like it will cost well over £300. Should finally get the car back tonight and can decide what I want to do with it.

Ah nice one, well let me know what you decide to do - I have to move house today so it's 'goodbye internet' (apart from when I'm at work of course) for a while.

Will catch up soon though.
