Apparently the x1950 won't work on the PC without a new PSU.
I could change the PSU (it is a standard 300W ATX one), but that is adding extra cost, which I really want to avoid, as it would add £30 or so to any high-power graphics card.
Tempted by a 7900GS for £75, which is only a fraction off the x1950pro anyway, and a good 25% better than the 8600GT.

im gonna hijack this thread.
Has anyone ever bought from www.cube247.com or heard anything about them?
They look very well priced for high spec computers. Have my eye on the Perseus ST12. Any views/opinions would be welcome

Rather than starting a new thread I might as well ask in here.
Going to need a new PC, old one has stopped turning on for some reason, managed to yesterday but its 5 years old so an excuse to get a new one.
I'll use it for the internet and FM mainly, would like a good graphics card for PES/FIFA whatever is better at the time.
Family will mainly use it for the internet and will have Microsoft Office etc installed.
From what I've read on OTF, Dell and Mesh seem to be the best, PC World, Comet, Currys etc the worst. Doubt we'll ever upgrade it (which I saw Dell PCs aren't good for) so thats not a problem.
Any other suggestions? Should I go for Dell? Which Dell PC is recommended? Don't need a new monitor unless its really worth getting.

Should also mention we use a router for the internet which this laptop also connects to with a wireless connection.
Also seen that 4GB RAM doesn't seem to be worth it?
Don't want a PC that will overheat after a few hours of FM and being online, but I guess that shouldn't be a problem with any of them really.

No exact budget but just good value for money, obviously no need to pay £2000 for what I need it for.
Fast hard drive would be good, useful for saving and loading FM, would also like a quad core as FM uses it.
