| What is the difference? I thought it was mostly the interface, which I could live without, tbf.

Hmmm, the media features are basically the only thing that I could really want from Premium, everything else just seems like things I don't need. I don't even really have use for the media features now, but I guess it will be useful when I eventually get a PS3.
I'm not saying the Mesh PC isn't a good deal, but except for the 4Gb of RAM, it isn't as good as the Dell quad-core PC. Just wish they did it cheaper with 2Gb really.

About 90% in favour of going for the Vostro 200MT.
Think i'll spend £45 to replace the 8300GS with a 8600GT, wait 18 months or so, and buy a much better card then.
Going to phone and ask about Vista Home Premium, but I can't say i'll be too gutted if I have to keep Home Basic.
Anything blatantly obvious i've overlooked?

-Base Warranty - 1 Year Business Hardware Support
-Dell 19" Value Wide Flat Panel (E198WFP)
-2048MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024]
-500GB (7200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive with 16MB DataBurst cache
-256MB NVIIDA GeForce 8300GS Turbocache graphics card
-16x DVD+/-RW & 16x DVD Drives
Price: £434.82 (inc VAT and delivery)
What do you think of that system?
I could spend an extra £45 to upgrade to an E6750, but I don't really think it is worth it.
I know the graphics card is dire, but I could spend £80 or so on a X1950Pro or 7900GS and it'd still be £100 cheaper than the initial PC posted.
| Don't bother with the 1950pro, it's the xt you want (much better for only a little more cash).
Did you find out about that Dell PSU? I'd be concerned about the other components being proprietary ones too, especially the gfx card.

Been toying with the idea of a new pc myself and have only really found the 1950 pro. Is it easy enough to pick an Xt?

Hmm, just had a look at a few online retailers and it seems not. Shops on eBay will have them though, worth getting over the pro version imo.
