Well FM07 is in no way better than FM06.

I'm a complete PES fanboy. Doesn't change the fact that PES5 was inferior to pretty much all of the previous titles.

Been playing the wrong Fifa games them tbh. Some have been rather good.

I played the original LMA Manager a lot - is the best console football management game I've played (I've not played any since).

Nothing else comes close to FM on the PC - however, I really wish SI would better explain the sliders and how to combine them to do certain things tactically. Since they were brought in I've not had a clue what I'm doing and find myself just breezing through matches hoping something will work.

RtWC '98 a long time ago but better. The Fifa WC 2006 game actually far better but less people have played it as the assumption was Fifa cashing in. Which they were but it happened to come with a very good game.

RtWC98 was a fantastic game. FIFA WC 2006 not.

As for being as good as PES - in both instances not.

PES is more of a simulation (I say MORE and not IS).

ISS on the 16bit console SNES was, and indeed IS, more fun than every single FIFA title since.

That isn't to say that in it's own little bubble that FIFA hasn't improved or had great features but that merely it's not as good as the competition and no amount of apathy towards the PES series will change that.
