Help me flash :-(

I can't seem to update to the next Flash update, sites such as BBC (ratings for Games) and also Megaupload seem to use flash and even though I have clicked numerous times to update, it doesn't work the next time I head to the site.

I am on Vista premium, do I need to do something??
