I thought he was ok against the germans too. He's never going to be much of a goalscorer but he's far more creative than he gets credit for. Far better footballer than that donkey Heskey.

That may seem to be the case, but I reckon he'd be AMAZY for England. I don't think anyone expected him to do so well, so quickly, for Rovers or the U21s when he broke through - but he got goals pretty much immediately.

Then again, I think he's pretty ffffffffffffb, so perhaps I'm biased.

He's a great finisher but a little weak in basically all other areas right now. You can tell he's only been in the side a year or so, and Hughes very rarely, if at all, starts him.

However, for a bench player there'd be far worse choices, I agree. Sodding Nugent for one.
