Yeah he didn't look great today, then again he didn't play for long. I may be a little biased but I've been watching Mikel week in, week out for over a season now and he is so very good. Blackburn not an ideal game to showcase his talents, especially at 0-0 in the last 10 minutes, as they give you no time on the ball but even today when Mikel gets the ball, it doesn't faze him in the slightest, he just always looks like he has all the time in the world to play the pass. Today he needed to be urgent and get the ball forward quickly but he's the type of player that prefers to get the ball, make some space for the other midfielders, and then give it off to Essien, Lampard or someone on the wing. I said I wasn't going into it

Pretty succinct summary there Ratinho, missing out Kalou's goal. Another one to chalk up against the "omg I had loads of shots and didn't score" FM theory I guess.

oh, on 5 minutes Essien played a stunning pass. Sublime, one of those Gerrard special hollywood balls where he pings it 40 yards onto someone's foot first time without even looking. Essien is God.

don't see how he can blame webb really, the offside was obviously the linesman's decision.

I think that's my issue. Every time I see him he acts like he has all the time in the world, someone closes him down and his pass is rubbish as a result.

I didn't even watch the game.

Kalou's goal? 0-0 no? If we can start claiming wrongly disallowed goals as actual goals we were actually decent last season.
