i for one think Dyer is a brilliant signing. He's a match winner on his day, and hopefully we'll get the best out of him.
Well he's alot better than we have currently.
And i don't understand the Noble hate either, he's only 20(21ffs). He's got a lot of potential and was one of our best performers to the end of last season.

That's weird, b4cause i'm struggling not to laugh after reading it.
Well that as well, except Newcastle might actually be good this year and i'd rather they not get more money. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Good point. West Ham so irrelevant, we should probably learn to dislike Newcastle instead. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I'm still utterly certain you love us deep down.

Apparently it's 7-8 million. Sheer lunacy, and I have been defending our spending (or intention to spend) all summer long. This one has me baffled - sure he's an upgrade from Bowyer, but how could we have spent 8 million on Kieron Dyer ffs?

There is way too much expectation this year from some of our fans. Some of the people on Kumb are terrible.
Saturday was dreadful. You knew within 5 minutes we were gonna struggle. Couldnt keep hold of it and Bowyer looked as bad as i have ever seen him.
I dont know why some here (Darth and Nathan) dont rate Noble. He is a real prospect but its hard playing with someone as lightweight as Bowyer. They were both trying to do the same thing. I said to my mate after the game that we missed Reo Coker. Noble needs someone like that (strong, gets around the pitch) to play with. He will be much better when Parker comes back. Noble will be very good.
Curbs did cost us the game by switching Etherington to full back, when we were well on top. However, i dont understand some of the reactions regarding Curbs so far. Let us see how he does. Let him build his team etc.
Anyway, saying all this, we must pick up points soon. We have decent fixtures and if cant get a few points in those games, then it could be tough
At long last some common sense. We mustn't forget how poor we were last year and we are still not an established Premiership club again. I would take a season being away from a relegation battle this time around.

Anyone know how long he had left on his contract at Newcastle? I was under the impression it wasn't long.
Think it ran until 2009 after we gave him a new deal while he was in the last year of his previous one (and had a long term injury at the time we offered it to him).
