tbh domestic cricket is a shocking attended sport. twenty20 has changed that recently but its still common to see completely empty stands at first class matches.
Internationally cricket is pretty big because most people in England are cricket fans to some extent. Whereas rugby has fans, people who watch a bit during the world cup and then haters (can't stand people who hate on a sport for no reason tbh). It also has the disadvantage that its split into two codes both of which have similar sized dedicated followings.

yeah lacrosse was a native american invention fine tuned into the modern version (less killing/heavy maiming involved) by the canadians.
Lacrosse is pretty small in England although we aren't that bad at it (probably 5th best nation in the world). Most of its centered around a large lacrosse community in Manchester. However its spreading through unis like wildfire with several new uni/southern teams starting each year.
