Surely the point of the thread isn't to get esoteric phrases like "hospital pass" and "six-pointer"; the first post gave example of normal non-football words that only really get used in football situations.

Yeah but they were poor examples. Rescinded and Brandish both being frequently used outside of football. At least some of the others are somewhat amusing.
