Was disappointed with the side put out. Never looked that threatening on the whole and considering Portsmouth missed a penalty and had a couple of other chances in the second half I'm quite happy with a point. Tough place to go as I said. Still, would've been nice if Voronin got to Torres' wonderful ball.
And the officials were poor.

| It's John Westwood, possibly one of the most famous yet revolting football fans in England.

With Diop and Muntari in the centre of midfield I can see plenty of yellow cards this season.

| if your squad isn't deep enough to cover a couple of changes from your strongest eleven, then you really are going to be pretenders, aren't you. the team you put out should have been strong enough to get three points, they just didn't play well enough for whatever reason.
also, as we've seen, and i suspect will continue to see, pompey not exactly a place you can go and just expect to pick up three points.

| Erm yeah I don't remember saying anything to the contrary.
And yes it's a tough place to go, so a draw is not too bad.
But Gerrard and Torres are vital and we'd be far better with them in a game like yesterday's; despite having strength in depth you need your best players in games like this.
