Seems you can get the same brand new released game sometimes for 15-20 pounds cheaper on the PC than on console.

I can get pes 2008 for £18 on pc while it is £40 on the console.

Generally they are £15 cheaper but why is this?

Because consoles are proprietary systems, and that's where the real money is made.

cause u don't need to upgrade your console every year to play best games

i suspect it's what is referred to as economies of scale. the numbers you can ship for PC games probably much higher than the numbers you can ship for console games.

No, but it's easier, surely? Not being a gamer, I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to illegal activity regarding games but is it possible to download console games from a variety of sources, burn them to disc yourself and then play it on a console you've modified yourself (or don't you have to "chip" them anymore?) Whereas PC you would just download the game and a crack, right?
