How's that? We used to get recruiters from the US army and marines offering over double pay and fastrack promotions if we went and signed for them after finishing with the Brits.

I gave it some serious thought but didn't like the idea of losing my UK citizenship to go somewhere I knew very little about. Fool. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Yeah, which means going back into the military. I somehow expect he doesn't plan to go the US to re-enlist.

Why not? Wish I had. Losing citizenship these days is hardly a biggie, is it? If you ever do want to go back you just sneak in via Ireland then claim asylum, tell 'em you were persecuted for speaking out against US foreign policy and you're in.

He's talking about qualifications and post-military potential. Looks like he's only interested in using it a spring board for civilian life.

And in my case, both dual citizenship without the either knowing about the other  I could get a job with a US federal government agency without having to surrender my UK citizenship, as I'm technically not listed as a dual national.

That is until five minutes ago when I alerted my buddy in INS.

You can stack shelves. You can answer phones. You can flip burgers.

Or you can get a little bit radical.

Don't listen to these brutes. If you go into the army, do something intelligent.

Liaisons &gt; *

Brutes ? I'm deeply hurt.

I did the liaison thing. It's rather cool to tell some General he can't have his helicopter ride because the weather's too bad.
