How's that? We used to get recruiters from the US army and marines offering over double pay and fastrack promotions if we went and signed for them after finishing with the Brits.

Why not? Wish I had. Losing citizenship these days is hardly a biggie, is it? If you ever do want to go back you just sneak in via Ireland then claim asylum, tell 'em you were persecuted for speaking out against US foreign policy and you're in.
