The only REME people I knew were either Air Techs (working on helicopters, mainly) or Spannerwankers. Of the two, I'd say the aircraft way would be better.
Although both will provide you with employment after you leave the Army, unlike some other paths you could choose. (Aimed at Bert more than anybody else, tbh. )
As Slampa! said, RADAR/Comms is another avenue.

How's that? We used to get recruiters from the US army and marines offering over double pay and fastrack promotions if we went and signed for them after finishing with the Brits.
I gave it some serious thought but didn't like the idea of losing my UK citizenship to go somewhere I knew very little about. Fool.
i think i should have done this instead of going to uni. I would have gained something and Id look cool. I dont think I would be able to take the abuse from the guy like in full metal jacket though. Id probably cry.
