Yeah, title is self explanatory.

Basically my mum was diagnosed with melanoma earlier this year. They operated and managed to remove all traces of the skin cancer, and she's currently undergoing a year-long course of treatment to try to prevent it from recurring.

My dad convinced me to do the run as a way of showing thanks and helping to improve treatment and stuff. Plus I'm fat and lazy and he wanted me out of the house. I'm pretty sure I've never ran 5k before, let alone 10, so it is a real challange. It's on Sept 30th so I've got some time to train, people sponsoring me would really help give an incentive to train hard and not to back out.

Any amount that you could sponsor me for, just £1 would be great, would be a big help.
