Live Aid - I was in a school play at the time and missed my cues as I was watching back stage.
I'm with Rocky on Star Wars btw.
PS Vince Bartram | When it comes to Star Wars, I'm talking about the experience of seeing it at the age of 7 rather than "ooh isn't Star Wars great - I'm so lucky to have been one of the first!". </BLOCKQUOTE>
I enjoyed it at 7, as just posted in the Led Zep thread. I just think that's about right though. We're not talking Scorsese or anything.

I really can’t remember anything about Manimal apart form the fact the guy turned into a snake once to pull some woman out of quick sand. Seem to recall it being universally panned though.
Forgot to mention Battlestar Galactica. When Starbuck was a man who smoked cigars damn it.

Grew up with the bestest cartoons - thudercats, centurians, gummy bears etc.
Rick Astley, Bob Geldoff, Chris Waddle and Alan Shearer were my heroes.
And the single most influencial thing about my life - the back to the future series. watched them daily and am convinced that i have seen them all at least 2,000 times each. Can recite each script back to front with no problem.

Would have loved to see that at first showing.
| Yes, but I remember everyone talking about it at school the next day when it was first shown on TV. I don't remember any other film having that impact when shown on TV.

I remember my mam going to see Queen at St James’ Park in 86 and being gutted I was too young to go. As well as Jaws, I would have loved to be around for Star Wars and Life of Brian.

actually I was watching it the other days and discovered something new! In part 3, when Marty and the Doc are in the cemetery, his dog Copernicus ran away to Doc's grave. Marty went to get him and shouted "Spartacus! come here Spartacus"
thought that was brilliant \o/

played it for 10 years until pro evo took over as my main footy game. Still by far the most entertaining game i've ever played.
