Viduka should start up to with Owen - he'd be good foil for Owen to play off. Midfield maybe a problem, with my money on Smith or Butt being left out to accomodate Charlie and Milner on either wing.
Given Derby's poor start to the season, we really should be looking for a win here.

| Clearly not lost anything, im just trying to understand how, he doesnt rate Viduka hightly, and how he thinks Smudger can play a position he has never yet done.
Only thing that seems lost is LG's marbles.

I’m expecting away from home for Allardyce to grind out results, dropping the more attacking players to accommodate more hard working players. Wouldn’t surprise me to see us playing with less width away from home, possibly with four central midfielders rather than two wingers.
Although for the likes of Derby away we should be looking for the win so I would expect him to play a’home’ side.
Hope that makes sense.

We really need to beat teams like this if we want to get into the top 6 this season but i think this one might be quite difficult. | Have you seen us so far this season?

I've heard Owen may be rested for this game, wise option imo.
Think Martins/Viduka/Smith are more than capable of getting us the 3 points here.
Maybe start with Owen, but definitly wouldnt give him the full 90.

No reason at all to rest Owen. The lad needs games, not wrapping in cotton wool.
