Incidently gr is wrong and there has been nothing like Lead Balloon before in this country, never got the acclaim it deserves but i think critics looking back at the year on comedy when it was out will give it the highest acclaim possible, a new direction in comedy.

To say Lead Balloon is groundbreaking and to dismiss Curb is just hilarious in itself. How the **** can Lead Balloon be one of the 5 most influential British comedies? what the hell has it influenced?

I need to see more of this Lead Balloon. Because I have a feeling I might like it, not that that stops nelly from being ridiculously OTT in his "opinion" (or more likely his made up extremist opinion to get a rise on here) of it.

it's not top 5 influential btw. ffs.

I've not seen much of it, but what I have just seemed to be Jack Dee's version of CYE ffs, one camera or not.

ACou so right about Partridge season 2. seemed a bit of a let-down at the time because season 1 was so immensely good, but now after repeated viewings it's not far off the first series at all.
