I think he would be as funny yeah, none of the jokes are really based around him being fat. if you find them funnier because he is fat, thats something you've found to be funny, thats not the premise of the joke, therefore he's not playing a fat man card

It's the dialogue. The opening sequence for example- his timing and delivery is impeccable. Nothing to do with his Robinson-ness.

Hyperdrive, was I think what Frost's sitcom. Great Comedy cast but no depth.
This is where my arguement falls apart I don't pay attention to C4 comedy so i've never seen Spaced.

Spaced is infinitely funnier than bot Hot Fuzz and SotD and I loved both of those films. Spaced is just absolutely immense, so well written, the delivery is amazing on the jokes, just awesome

To be honest, I don't like many comedy films at all. For me, comedy only works in a series.
