I'm guessing the cheapest and quickest way to get from Southampton to Aberdeen is by flying. However I have been looking around for a cheap deal to get me to Aberdeen on the 29th September and back again on the 30th and cant find much.

If anyone could help point me in a right direction of sites or airlines they know do good cheap deals and this late date that would be greatly appreciated.

They want me to pay over a grand. The best is a £298 but thats a 9 hour flight. Anything else?

I'm assuming there aren't direct flights from Southampton to Aberdeen, so presumably your best bet will be fly from Southampton to Edinburgh or Glasgee then get a train to Aberdeen, or go to Gatwick and fly direct to Aberdeen.

Rather than spending a few hours changing planes at Bradford or Belfast like...

I want to spend as much time as possible there. So Early Saturday morning untill late Sunday night.

Would even consider going up on the friday.
