Only 25,000 because we're a smaller club than Arsenal/Chelsea/United, we're still growing our fanbase, and it was a pretty meaningless game (well, it should have been \o/) - but yeah, probably a massive story.
Oh, and we have some real problems - obviously any team would struggle without Ricky, Ballack, Didier and Lampard but as well as that:
1) I have no idea what our best formation is, not sure Jose does either. With everyone fit I would probably like a return to 4-3-3, but can't see that happening.
2) If we do continue to play 4-4-2 are any of Shevchenko/Kalou/Pizzaro really good enough to partner Drogba on a consistent basis?
3) Why are so awful at defening set-pieces at the moment?

1) It's 4-3-3 for sure. We do look really dangerous when we can get the ball out wide in a 4-4-2 though, especially the way Cole and Belleti were bombing forward first half. Now if only either of them could cross.
2) Pizarro is good enough to partner Drogba, as is Shevchenko.
3) Not sure, today's was fairly indefensible though. 'Keeper couldn't come, it was whipped in at the perfect height, great delivery.
On the bright side, we must be saving our luck up for the weekend

Erm...yes? Obviously things didn't turn out as expected, but before the night started than it seemed to be one of our least important home games of what will hopefully be a long season.
Fairly simple really. Gotta keep things relative. |

Meaningless?
CL group games aren't meaningless mate. Especiallt when you don't beat these teams in these 'meaningless games'.

| Oops, meant Arsenal/Liverpool/United.
Will Jose play 4-3-3 though?
And although Shevchenko does a lot of stuff that people don't notice, and could still improve, I really don't think his form with us so far justifies a place in the first X1 of a team who want to be the best in the world? Too early to judge Pizzaro.

| Like I said things didn't turn out as expected.
HOWEVER people usually decide whether of not they're going to go before the match ends. And before the match started, then yes, relatively this was one of our least important home games this season.
