It worked like that in F1 quite a few years ago, but then they changed to 12 laps, one-lap shootout, and now the 3 seperate sessions.

I think GPRO have just gone for the version that best fits the purpose, as well as not making a rod for their own back by mimic'ing the real F1 rules and having to re-code qualifying every 2 years

5 players in our amateur league didn't get drivers. Preety nice if you ask me seeing as neither of them are OTFer's.

I'm down to 12th of 31, so should end up in the first half of the starting grid.

Sit 6th out of 38 in A6 with an ex-rookie to qualify and a last season Amateur who hasnt logged in for a few days.

Still 5th quickest in Q2 in my group and still just outside the top 10% of all Amateurs.

I'm sat 5th, and based on last season expect to jump a few places at the start so there's a fair old shot at a podium here.

Won't win though.

That and the fact that having everyone do three distinct sets of qualifying for each race would be impractical - either everyone would have to fit a GPRO session every day, or they'd ahve to pretend the slower runners never did their Q2s and Q3s.

Eitehr way it'd be a bit silly, especially when the current system works well enough imho.

Well we in A6 have a complete grid of 40 cars (its going to get crowded out there).

I am sitting pretty up in 6th place which I am delighted with.

A finish in the points will secure my Amateur status for another year and I can then go along with this supposed push for Promotion to Master

Probably this and the next race will also secure the future of my driver although I am concerned that my potential target will reach the 120 mark before I return from holiday and I may have to give Willigogs driver purchase instructions :eek:

5 managers without drivers for this race in my group. 2 have drivers but are yet to qualify. I've got a feeling it'll be quite an easy season to stay up in our group.

Everyone who is in their 2nd Amateur season has made great progress already....except me, who has slipped several places on the grid since this time last year

That'd have me start in 15th out of 24. Not quite the walk in the park I had pictured. Will be getting a new driver soon

Can only really speak for myself (and I suppose Willigogs who I was chatting with on msn earlier) but we are absolutely amazed with the jump in our qualifying positions.

Myself 6th is easily a best in the dry and about 6 or 7 places better than the end of last season. I even out-qualifies the ex-Master which leads me to wonder how many are going for the two stop on ESs and how many behind me are 1 stopping. Could quite easily be a false grid position.
