The very basics of the game are that you do practise and quali 1 first.
You have 8 practise laps for you to find your best setup before going for your Q1 lap and then Q2.
For practise - take one of the setups from the other forum and see what your driver thinks. He'll let you know whether any settings are either too high or too low and you can then change accordingly.
Now here's the tricky bit. Your driver has a tech insight of 82. With that I'd assume he has a "happy zone" of around 100? This means that your driver will be "satisfied" (not complain about the setup) within 50 clicks of the "perfect" setup. For example, if his perfect setting for wings was 550 - he will probably say he's satisfied with wings anywhere from 500 to 600. The trick here is to find the upper or lower limit which you can then add on half of your "happy zone" figure. Again for example:
Wings 550 - No Comment
Wings 500 - Driver says wings are too low
Wings 525 - Driver says wings are too low
At this point you know the lower limit is somwhere between 525 & 550, so:
Wings 537 - No Comment
You now know it's somewhere between 525 & 537, so:
Wings 531 - No Comment
You can now safely say his lower limit for wings is somewhere between 525 & 531 - so take the middle of this (528) and add on half of your happy zone figure to be as close to the middle point as possible (which would be +50 = 578).
You need to do this for all parts simultaneously and eventually you'll find a really good setup for all parts.
Hope that helps
