Too many offers for him, withdrew mine. I offered about 3.3 for him I think.

Yes im a tight git.
| If you are the only one to offer him a contract then maybe he will sign for about 80% of his wage demands. Will need to be a 17 race contract though.
If he is already driving for you then the only way is to let his contract expire and then just re-bid for him.

Its for a new driver. I've got a feeling someone will out bid me for him, so i may offer a huge signing on fee just to be safe.

FFS Amati won't get anyone promoted
You pay him anywhere near his 4.75M a race and thats 80M over the season. With that sort of cost you simply won't be able to repair your car. If you can't repair your car you will be finishing miles down the field by mid-season and will be bankrupt and sent back to Rookie come the end of the season.

| I have offered a 12 race contract, he'll get me loads of points, doesn't need a super quick car and then I'll get someone for like 200k for the end of the season.

Fish, this isn't rookie, you've no chance of 'loads of points' in a **** car, no matter what your driver is. Especially in A7. If it's anything like last season everyone anywhere near challenging will be getting strategies spot on and not crashing out.

| Fact is, you dont need loads of points, you will probably only need 1 point and if you keep your finances straight there is a very good chance of getting it in the last couple of races (Poyple even stole a win when all of the other 39 cars in his group failed to make it past the first corner of the last race )
Last season I went with the cheap driver to start the season and then threw the money in for the second half of the season when the car was better. This season I may do the opposite, hope to get my point early and then let my drivers contract run down (7 races left) and get a replacement for less money to build the car up again.
