now that i am in AM3 what happens when my sponsership deal runs out in 8 races, do they offer a contact extension of do i have to start all over again.

You should receive the activation email shortly.

The first season is always the hardest, just feck about with stuff and test what things do. Worry about promotion in the second season.

If people are struggling to get a driver in rookie during this first window, I'd recommend getting an "okay" and unbelievably cheap driver for the first 3 races. Sure, you're unlikey to do very well for these first 3 - but hopefully there'll be SLIGHTLY less competition at that point for you to snaffle one of the new ones dropping into the market.
