FAO All Hearts/Scottish Football/Leicester Followers - How well is Craig Levein rated by your good selves?
Was having a bit of banter/arguement over dinner with a collegue of mine who is at best a fickle fan of Leicester. When they are doing well he is the first to lets us know about it. When they are doing bad he is the first to say sack the manager or player xxx is tosh.
We were having a discussion about the amount of managers leicester have had since Martin O'Neill (Btw this chap also doesn't seem to comprehend Leicester before O'Neill) left. Myself and another Leicester supporting collegue were both in agreement that Levein wasn't given the time and actually had left the club in a good state as regards finances, average squad age, and the rebuild of the squad from over paid 30 somethinks on 10,000 plus for 1-2 years.
Now as far as i can tell he is rated pretty highly. He got Hearts into Europe twice despite having to reduce the wage bill both seasons and constructed a team that boasted the likes of Craig Gordon, Steven Pressley, Andy Webster, and Paul Hartley. All good players that have either courted interested from the Old Firm or the premiership at somepoint. Also seems to have done well at Cowdenbeath and currently at Dundee United.
Just wondered what peoples thoughts of him are generally as i rate the bloke but just think he did'nt have the time to sort things out.

Doesn't play the most entertaining football but you're guaranteed a tight defence and points under him. We were extremely hard to break down under him and Dundee Utd are currently 4 games without conceding a goal.
