Team Fortress 2 (BETA out today) - Official release Oct. 10
There's a package on steam right now called the Orange Box which currently costs 25 GBP's (including tax) that encompasses Half-Life 2, Episode One, Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2. It's routinely and rightly dubbed 'deal of the century' for it's value for money!
Anyway those who pre-order the Orange Box get to play Team Fortress 2 as a 'beta' sometime today, for less than a month before it's release on October 10th.
It's a stylistic update to Team Fortress Classic which is looking pretty stunning from the video's and screenshots I've seen. Check the website above for more information.
Anyone here patiently awaiting it's release tonight?

Am vaguely interested in the 360 release of TM2, but simply refuse to fork out £35 or whatever for the package when that's the only part of it I'm interested in.

It's 'technically' only about 20 pounds at the moment, but with tax it comes to about 25 pounds. I suppose if you don't believe Episode Two is worth say half of that amount then the deal itself might appear poorer (especially as Portal appears no more than a diversion). I'm someone who enjoyed (but not necessarily rated ) Episode One so I think it shapes up quite nicely at the end of the day.
Utterly fantastic deal for newcomers to the series as well
I doubt it. They wouldn't want to incur the wrath of console gamers and their tear ducts after they find themselves getting their asses whooped every second of every game

Nah, just prefer people who don't take it all quite so seriously.
