His landlord is his mate, so the company that would be incharge of paying wouldn't accept that as proof of address.
I was just speaking to him again, he's changed his address at the his bank but they wouldn't give him a statement on the spot. Said he has to wait 7-10 days.
He's gonna go to the police station tonight to see what he can do, he should be able to get something off them, no?

It's a horrible situation to find yourself in, knowing that you could be indirectly responsible for something like that. Spoke to his potential employers about the situation, they're understanding but stressed their patience isn't limitless. I didn't say anything about his mental state, just told them about his address problem.
