Maybe at a very poor standard of futsal the technical abilty wouldn't be great but that would be the exact same as football.

There is also plenty of top division football teams out there who completely bypass the midfield alot and play a "long ball" style. I don't really see how you can say this about futsal as you're only making it harder for yourself by putting the ball in the air.
More often than not outdoor football is played on a less predictable surface so you need better control. A gym floor is designed to be as flat and as consistent as possible which makes ball control easier. The bigger pitch means longer passes come into play more, that's a really difficult skill. Set pieces can be more elaborate with the higher number of players. Battling against the elements as well as the other team. Just the tip of the iceberg really.

Futsal just has a lot of the better parts of football missing. It's literally half the game.

He was never a star at futsal, and never were Robinho, Ronaldinho, etc... although they all played it.

And I can't say I miss slide tackles in futsal.

Futsal games are very entertaining, both to play and to watch.

Verbal is infamous around these parts
Default

I`ve played two Internatioanl matches for Scotland. We beat England in one and were beaten by Belgium in the other.

The Scottish Futsal scene started in Perth (where I live) about 12 yrs ago and i got into it at the start. The entire Scotland International team was picked from this one league (hence my cap )

I enjoyed playing it, but my knees and shins are both knackered from indoor football now so I concentrate on mountaineering (slightly less twisting involved) Its a great sport for young kids to get invloved in as it does promote the technical side of football, but it also promotes quite a strict positional scense.
