With me only being in my teenage years, my experiences of sandwiches are somewhat limited. My dad was talking this morning about the crab paste ones he ate at school for 5 years of his life, every day.
And by this, I don't mean the stale ASDA sandwiches imprisoned in plastic.
What are your memories of sandwiches as a child, or your favourite kind?
Also good to hear would be the most unusual sandwich you've ever had; quite possibly the one you had last Friday night after a wild night out that consisted of peanut butter, sliced ham and rice pudding.
(the sandwich, not the night )
We get our sandwiches made fresh from the sandwich place across the road and they are delicious. I'm not much for making them myself, I'd rather have a really nice sandwich and pay for it than make my own average one.
I randomly go through massive cravings for cheese & pickle sandwiches. I used to always have them in school, but last year at uni I went througha period of eathing them every day for about a month
imo the best sandwich is using meat left over from a Sunday roast ( Beef and Gammon especially ) warmed up with mustard ( wholegrain ) spread on some nice white bread.
Failing that, Salt Beef with Pickled Onions or Bacon and ketchup are very nice.
