Last season when Fulham came to Vicarage Road we were 2-0 up and fairly cruising.
Then they pulled 1 back and in about the 80th minute Heidar Helguson scored the equaliser and he really did celebrate.
Some of the Watford fans were not impressed with that, but a lot of us understood that he's just a committed player who gives everything to the club he's playing for.
Gritton did it against Grimsby a few weeks ago, much respect to him tbh. He got plenty of boos throughout the match, and then scored to make it 1-0. I'd have been tempted to rub it in the crowds face but no. I always admire it.
I dont mind all of this non celebrating thing but what makes me laugh is when you get a player e.g. Freddy Eastwood who claims that he wants to score against a team e.g. Man Utd because he supports them?
well the top example of this but clearly heartfelt was when Rui Costa still at Fiorentina scored against Benfica only to later break down in tears. youtube link
Last year he rejected a new multi million contract to come back to Benfica the club he loves
On a different topic for me what's more silly is players celebrating like they've won the WC final when they score a random penalty kick. Come on you are not supposed to miss it lol. Be glad but don't make too much of it.
this talk of celebrating because its 'your team' is a bit odd, its football 'your team' is the one you support and love, not the one which happenes to be paying your wages
