Police completely mishandled that situation. There was no need to drag him away and that just led to an escalation of things.
| Thats what happens when you are told on a daily basis that everyone who hasnt a Bush poster over his bed is a terrorist.

The worst guy is the one in the background who is laughing all the time...so dumb he doesnt even realize he could be next...well not he, because dumb people are tolerated and supported by the ruling elite because they are no danger to them...
| Freedom of speech, of course. But what he failed to realise was that he wasn't the only one with freedom of speech, and that by shouting and whinging he was denying others.
So he got the **** zapped out of him

It is rather pathetic that 6 trained cops can't manhandle one rather doped up student without having to resort to weaponry, of course. Taser-happy, I guess. Bet they were pished off about letting him slip by in the first place. Trying to make for incompetence by frustrated needless violence and getting yourself filmed in the process.

Of course, the problem is that we only see a certain part of what happened - we don't know what went before. Not to say that makes any difference, but it's a possibility.
And, on the matter of police brutality and whatnot - it seemed as though the cops were trying to deal with things calmly, but had no alternative but to taser the twat when he refused to co-operate. From a personal perspective, I would calm down and be a bit more co-operative. instead of throwing my toys out of the pram.

Thats ridiculous, he did nothing but ask a question, the shouting only started when the police forced him away from the microphone. They had no right to do that at all. i really dont understand why so many people support the police when it is acting illegal. Well after patriot act, this might even be legal in the US.
You can now call me a nutter gain for dreaming of civil rights and democracy.
