How can clubs refuse to disclose how much a transfer was for? Shareholders would have a right to know how much a asset cost wouldn't they. So hows that work then. Dull question I know.

If its an embarrasing amount for the club is what I always thought.

Spurs be wishing they'd said Bent was "undisclosed"

not all clubs have shareholders. Those that do won't have to disclose it until they issue their financial reports, (usually every 6 months), unless it's a massive transfer that will likely affect the share price.

Only PLC's have to do it when you are listed on the stock exchange, a place like Chelsea where their is only 3 or so shareholders (iirc) don't

Yeah we always have "undisclosed" fees due to having few shareholders. Normally have a scan of my mums uncles (he has two shares) financial report every March to see what has been spent where.
