Default Moving your broadband to a new house

ISP's seem to be particularly vague when it comes to telling you how long it takes to transfer your broadband.

Ive have just moved to a new house and my broadband is transferring from another number to my new number.

Any have experience of how long this usually takes. Im with Tiscali btw....

Figure takes as long as it takes BT Wholesale to provision the new line.

Just moved myself. I'm, with Orange and its taken them 6 long weeks to finally do transfer it. But they are useless.

Any normall company should take about 2 weeks from when your new phone line is activated.

If the line in your new house is already activated for Broadband, then there shouldnt be any delay in theory. But never works out like that. Normally a few weeks

I moved into a new house fairly recently, my BT phone line was installed on 11th July and my Tiscali broadband was activated on 20th July.

tiscali & pipex are same now yes?

i moved account but elected to keep same phone number.

that caused no end of bother and actually took 3 weeks for my account to be re-activated..

i am still (9 months later) waiting for my webspace to be correctly aligned to be new account and alias details.

wonder who will be doing the actual work then - the pipex people are awful as far as i'm concerned and don't deserve their current high standings as being customer focussed.

Seems for the time being everything will be as normal, but eventually (up to 12 months) Tiscali will move people onto their LLU where possible
