I've started playing regularly on Sunday's now at 5's and yesterday was the first time I wasn't dying after 5 minutes. My touch on the other hand was non exisistant in the first half and I couldn't score to save myself.
Then I was given a penalty to take and it all started going right for me, was audacious enough to even try a couple of scissor kicks which were both scuffed but connection none the less!
So that's where my footballing career is just now, what about you guys?
I played for one club from age 5 through to 18, then didn't play for 3 years. Played one season a couple of years back and that side folded and can't be arsed since.
Was gonna play for my local side this season but we'e moving house now so can't be bothered with that now.
retired from serious football at the end of last season, now I am looking to be the inspirational seasoned ex-pro in a side of 20 year olds.
Having gone to my first training session last week I can see I may have a tricky job. First friendly next sunday then the league starts the following week.
I don't know... sometimes 5-a-side can be more intense and knackering. In 11-a-side, unless you're crazy enough to play centre-midfield, you can at least take a breather.
your career is going as far as a piece of string son, believe.
i play 7 a side and two teams of 11 a side. I'm intelligent player and very quick, but at 5'6 or something I can't imagine i'd get very far in a pro side.
