I'm in the market for a new graphics card atm, and checked out ebay to see if there were any bargains. Some prices jumped out at me straight away. And then as I read the lengthy details section I find that they add VAT to the price you pay. What a complete swizz.

I always figured that the no collections rule was because they make extra money from the postage charges.

I hate that kind of seller on ebay and avoid them like the plague.

We get that in Aus as well. Stupid Hong Kong, sell for stupid prices, then add $30 to postage.

Ebay should list prices with VAT and postage added on already. That would stop the feckers. Or at least make it obvious to buyers who is offering the best deal.

It's not like paying the VAT is optional (Yes, I know some business can reclaim it but they are in the minority and have to pay it up front anyway like the rest of us) so the only price displayed should be the one that you pay.
