ruminating on that equation, i reckon (reward - shame) / (effort + unavoidable crap) would be a more accurate version, because the other one kind of made it sound like i'd work as a rent boy if the money was high enough.

making a difference, so when you are on your death bed you can honestly and i mean honestly say you are happy that you did everything you wanted to do and ceased the day.
I find it extraordinary how many people are satisfied with being average, just having a regimental job working 5 days a week waiting for the weekend. Not living life to to the fullest, not wanting to go places and achieve something or do something that you can actually say you are proud of.
