Default Would you pay £55 to go to a match?

Dear old Birmingham have confirmed that they'll be charging £55 for the derby game against Villa which amounts to extortion.

£55 to watch a cup final or something is probably justifiable, but not to watch two average teams in a tinpot stadium whilst you're spat on by the ***** in the stand above you.

Unleash some Birmingham hate if you wish, but I just felt like having a moan. BG is welcome to rattle on about how it used to only cost a shilling or something and how out of touch football is with the fans.

The worst thing is that I'll still end up going

i wouldn't (unless it was a cup final), but unfortunately there are enough people that would, meaning boards feel justified in charging as much as they wish

No chance. Most i've paid is £50 at Stamford Bridge and i only really did that so that when we return back to obscurity i can tell any potential grandkids that "i was there when we got beat away from home by the Premiership champions", or something along those lines.

Charging us £45, *****.

I'm undecided if I'm going as there will be plenty of spares about.

Clearly not too expensive then, if people are still willing to pay it.

Not for the ticket. Travelling tends to take costs above that for the day generally though.
