I know it seems strict, but its not worth it for the supermarket. They get a heavy fine (thousands of pounds) and the person serving gets arrested and a criminal record

My dad got ID'd the other day at Tesco. He's 54 and has grey hair. I nearly wet myself.

think the age has just been raised from 16 to 18 so as with alcohol they ask for proof you're over 21
